Facebook Business Pages: Create a Call-To-Action Button
We really do enjoy helping our clients look great online. This post is simply a helpful reminder that you can add a call-to-action button to your Business Facebook Page all by yourself.
Like most social media service providers, Facebook continues to look for ways that people can interact with businesses in their network.
A call-to-action button is a rectangular box placed on your Business Page Profile near the ‘like’ button. It acts as a guide to take your page’s visitors to what you would like them to do: Contact Us, Book Now, Watch Video, Sign Up, Use App, Play Game, or Shop Now. (There is a Donate call-to-action as well.)
The free action button will link to the destination on Facebook or on your website that you assign to it. For example: the Contact Us can be set to direct visitors to your website’s contact page or the Sign Up button can take your visitors to your website to sign up for your newsletter.
So, how do you add the call-to-action button to your Facebook Business Page that directs people to your website?
1. Login to Facebook Business Page.
2. Navigate to your Business Page’s action buttons on your cover page and click “Create Call to Action”.
3. Choose the call to action that you wish to use and enter the URL for your website where the information is located. For example, if you wish to use the “Contact Us” button, you will need to enter the direct link to your website’s Contact Page such as: yourdomainname.com/contact-us.
4. Click on “Create”.
Once you’ve created your call-to-action button, you may also track the number of people who have clicked on it.
A “Donate” call-to-action button feature is gradually becoming available for non-profit pages as well. To use it, your page’s category must be set to “Non-Profit Organization” in order to view the “Donate Now” option. The instructions to add it are the same as the above.
